I once again had the honor of volunteering for this great event in Washington DC, where the bi-partisan Congressional Club holds a luncheon in honor of the First Lady. It is an amazing opportunity to volunteer for Certified American Grown Flowers, and meet floral designers and farmers from all over the US. The importance of boosting sales for our American Farmers is an ongoing mission in DC.

Steampunk themed wedding ideas, february 2022
Finally I got to create my Steampunk wedding, on a cold February day in Stratford CT. With help from photographer Heidi Hanson, Makeup artist Johanna, from The Stately Rose and the support of Ronnie & Amanda from Two Roads Brewery, we found the perfect atmosphere for this special theme. Eric & Bella were great as my Steampunk couple. The hats , goggles, cogs, containers and their clothes I have put together with help from Mongers Market in Bridgeport, Stratford Antique Center & Etsy.
When you have a specific idea like a Steampunk themed wedding or event, it takes time to find all the right pieces, but to find a place like Two Roads Brewery in Stratford CT- makes it all easier! Together with them, we can help you plan your wedding day/ event from start to finish. The industrial atmosphere is perfect, and it is easy for your guests to find their way to the brewery. Toffee roses, Kiss -a David Austin garden rose, Gloriosa lilies, Tweedia, painted carnations, tulips etc. All accented with metal containers, and gogs & wheels. Candles for ambiance is always right!

I recently had the great honor to be part of the Congressional Clubs luncheon in honor of Dr Jill Biden,
We were a small team of designers & students who came from all over the country and spent a week creating the floral design for this massive event of with 1.600 guests at a hotel in Washington DC.
In a few days we created 175 centerpieces, 2 photo arches, and a head table for honorable guests, who were spouses of our Vice President, of Supreme court justices and many from the cabinet of President Biden.
We were 8 designers and 2 college students who unpacked, processed, trimmed, arranged, carried and hauled all these flowers to the biggest ballroom in Washington. This is a 108 year old tradition, has only been cancelled twice - last year due to COVID, and when the Second World War broke out.
